Founder, director & administrator at CPC.
Hannah studied Early Childhood Education, Religious Education, and Counselling Psychology. She frequently participates in post graduate studies in order to further her knowledge and skills.
Hannah specializes in childhood mental health, working with children on concerns such as anxiety and trauma.
I work with children and families. I believe in the importance of good mental health for even the youngest members of our society and I am passionate about seeing families become stronger together.
Young people can have big problems too! Anxiety, depression, trauma and grief are all things that impact young and old. I am here to help young people navigate these life challenges; I have studied child development and bring this knowledge into sessions to help kiddos in an age-appropriate way that respects who they are as individuals and how their brains are wired to operate.
I am always happy to help parents brainstorm ways to support their child. If you think I may be able to help you and your family, let's chat! I use a few different methods and modalities - all of which can incorporate a healthy, and age-appropriate form of play! This could mean songs and rhymes, toys, imaginative play or games. Play not only helps keep children engaged, it gives them a natural way to express their feelings and fears.
As mom to four children, Hannah understands that there is no one-answer-fits-all and that we can all benefit from support sometimes.

Working on his undergrad in Obedience School and soon moving on to more in-depth studies of what it means to be a Therapy Dog.
Rex has successfully been socialized with children of all ages.
Currently studying with a Dog Trainer to increase his skills as a therapeutic companion.
Accepting pats and snuggles.
Rex is excited to begin venturing out into the world as a Therapy Dog. He looks forward to his graduation later this year. He will be turning two years old and believes that he is ready to begin supporting children outside of his home. He has been raised alongside his 4 human sisters who have prepared him well for all of the loud and unexpected ways a human child may choose to conduct themselves.
Rex believes in ensuring that nobody feels alone, whether they are happy or sad his goal is to stick with them through thick and thin! Rex is a willing participant for both quiet times and busy play. When invited, he will happily engage in a playful game of chase or he will gladly snuggle up on your knee. He believes that his small stature and gentle approach will allow him to put even nervous children at ease.
At this time, in Ontario, dogs are not able to become independent practitioners in the mental health field; therefore Rex will be required to act as co-therapist with Hannah.
